Download files with CG3Y

With the extremely useful transaction CG3Y you can download files from the application server to the frontend directly from SAP. No releases or file transfer tools are required.
After entering the T-code CG3Y, the clear input mask appears.
Simply enter the appropriate UNC paths, select the correct transmission format…
…if the target file already exists and should be overwritten, check the box and start the transfer.
Tip:
The ASCII format is also suitable for text files; for binaries, i.e. executable files, the BIN format must be selected, otherwise the files will be destroyed.
Of course, the whole thing also exists in the opposite direction in the form of transaction CG3Z.
